The Andy Smiles Forever Foundation sponsored "Hands for Life Darien" event, which trained over 900 people in CPR/AED in a single day. Sale proceeds from The Andy Smiles Forever Store benefited Post 53, our amazing local volunteer-run EMS services which organized and ran this amazing event!
Our Foundation attended the event and was joined by families of victims and survivors of myocarditis as well as doctors and researchers. Attendees included Dr. Leslie Cooper, the leading world expert in myocarditis and President and Founder of the MF, and Dr. DeLisa Fairweather, PhD, a leading myocarditis researcher at Johns Hopkins. The ASF Foundation made a donation to the Myocarditis Foundation and was honored to receive an award in recognition of its fundraising events and awareness efforts.
Our 2nd Annual Fundraiser was a complete success! Great turnaround, lots of energy, and wonderful zumba dancing led by our dear friends and instructors Eddie Calle and Jeimy Bueno ! The Silent Auction and Raffle provided much excitment to participants and the lucky winners where not dissapointed due to the generosity of our patrons. Once again Dr. Thomas Nero from Stamford Hospital and the Post 53 team guided CPR demonstrations for all participants. Our heartfelt gratitute goes to our supporters who made this event unforgettable with their attendance, volunteering and generosity.
